Business mogul Tyler Perry who plays the role of Madea 'to the tee', is going to be a father. I find this to be interesting. I heard Tyler Perry tell Arsenio Hall on his show, that he would welcome having a child. He even told Arsenio that he would be a great father, but not a good husband. So, one of the most successful African American males in the world advocates having a child out of wedlock.
I like Tyler Perry. I think he is a multi-talented individual. I am not criticizing his views on relationships. He simply stated his views, which he is allowed to do. I am concerned with the impression his views might make on the millions of young people who look up to him. Some young people look for people to admire and emulate. So, celebrities need to be careful with the actions and messages they display and vocalize to the masses.
Tyler Perry's 'baby mama' is a young lady by the name of Gelila Bekele. She is a model (it is interesting how models seem to cling to male celebrities). I am not familiar with her, but I am not interested in female models. The question is, whether this is a real relationship or just a way to 'fly under the radar' or 'lock up the money via child'. Only time will tell. I certainly do not wish anyone "bad", but I will not hold my breath while hoping for 'the best'.
