The restaurant/night club called 'The Spot' in the Miami neighborhood known as Liberty City was the scene of a mass shooting. The shooting involved around seventeen young people. One with his friend. young man age 17 is in custody. Supposedly, he is the person who opened fire on another young man who was in a dispute at Norland High School (Miami Gardens) with his friend.
There are several things wrong with this situation. 1) The Spot is a licensed restaurant. Yet, it was a night club on the night of the mass shooting selling alcohol. 2). The Spot was an illegal night club selling alcohol without a license, that opened its doors to children as young a s eleven years old.. 3). The Spot was an illegal night club selling alcohol without a license with minors present and apparently did not frisk patrons.
What is the world coming to? Children are drinking, drugging, sexing carrying weapons and shooting people. I know that some children come from horrible upbringings, but that is no excuse for anti-social behavior. The suspect in the mass shooting had at least two accomplices. One was arrested and released, while the other is still 'at large'. No matter what happens to the young men involved in the mass shooting, they should realize that their negative actions could have lasting effects on their lives.
